Maglione cotone taglia 24 mesi - Cotton sweater size 24 months

Dopo aver lavorato a maglia per un po`, mi e` venuta voglia di realizzare qualcosa con l`uncinetto. Avevo un po` di gomitoli di diverso colore e ho pensato ad un maglioncino divertente per i bimbi.

After knitting for a while, I wanted to do something with the crochet. I had some balls of yarn with different colors and I thought to do a funny sweater for children.

Mezzo punto per bambini - Needlepoint for children

Mia figlia e` molto interessata alle mie attivita` e quando lavoro a maglia o cucio, spesso mi chiede di usare i miei uncinetti, filati o ferri da maglia. E` troppo piccola per poterli usare (ha solo 3 anni) quindi, nonostante io sia molto contenta del suo interesse, questo per me significa dover interrompere i miei lavori e seguirla.

Quando ho visto i Kit DMC Mezzo Punto per Bambini, ne ho preso subito uno, sperando che mi aiutasse a distrarla dai miei lavori e, perche` no, ad appoggiare il suo interesse e ad avvicinarla a questo mondo.

My daughter is very interested in my activities and when I knit or sew she often ask me to use my crochet hooks, yarns or knitting needles. She is too young for do this (she is only 3 years old), so, despite I`m very happy about this interest, this means that I have to stop my works and take care of her.

When I saw the Kits DMC needlepoint for children, I immediately took one, hoping that this would help me to distract her from my work and, why not, to support her interest and to approach her to this world.

Questo regalo e` stato accolto con entusiasmo. Nel completare il lavoro e` stata aiutata un po` da tutti, nonni compresi. Ora in cameretta c`e` il suo lavoro incorniciato.

This gift was accepted with enthusiasm. For finishing this work, she was helped from a lot of person, grandparents included. Now this picture is in her room framed.

E`stato utile a distrarla dalle mie attivita`? Ovviamente no! :)

Cappellini bimbi Top This - Children hats Top This

Nelle ultime feste, Babbo Natale ha consegnato tanti cappellini ai bambini che conosco ;)

Last Christmas, Santa Claus delivered a lots of hats to all the children I know ;)

Ho usato il filato proposto dalla DMC, Top This. Sotto potete vedere tutte le versioni che hanno. Oltre al gomitolo c'è un simpatico animaletto da attaccare in cima al cappello.

Lo schema è molto semplice da seguire e il risultato è bello e divertente.

I used a DMC yarn, Top This. Below you can see all the different proposals. In addition to the yarn, there is a nice animal to put on the top of the hat.

The pattern is very easy to follow and the hat is very nice and fun.

Abiti per bambina - Dresses for little girl

Ho preparato due vestiti per mia figlia. Il modello è lo stesso, cambiano solo le stoffe e le taglie.

Maglione taglia 3 mesi - Sweater 3 months

E' in arrivo un maschietto per ottobre! Per non farmi cogliere impreparata dal freddo, ho preparato un maglioncino in pura lana, taglia tre mesi.

It will arrive a baby boy in October! I don't want the winter find me not prepared, so I made a pure wool sweater, size 3 months.

Il modello è di mia invenzione, ho preso le misure da un maglioncino della stessa taglia. I bordi sono rifiniti ad uncinetto, con un giro di maglie basse e uno a punto gambero.

The pattern is my creation, I took the measurements from another sweater of the same size. The hem is finished with the crochet, a turn with a single crochet and another with reverse crochet.

In questo periodo sento parlare spesso di lavorazione top down, quindi perché non provare? 

Si tratta di realizzare un maglione partendo dall’alto, utilizzando i ferri circolari. Ho incominciato con il collo, ho effettuato degli aumenti per creare le linee del giro manica. 

In this time I often hear about top down knitting, so why don’t try it?

It’s about making a sweater from the top, using circular needles. I started from the neck, after that I made the increases to create the lines of the armhole.

Ho tenuto in sospeso i punti che mi sarebbero serviti per le maniche e ho proseguito con il corpo centrale. Alla fine ho realizzato le maniche, usando dei ferri circolari per calzini (sono più piccoli e rendono più semplice la lavorazione di piccole circonferenze).

I continued leaving on hold the stitches I'll need after, for the sleeves, and I went on with the central body. At the end I made the sleeves, using circular needles for socks (they are smaller and they make easier knitting the small circumference).

Un maglione confezionato in questo modo non ha cuciture ed ha il vantaggio che può essere provato durante la lavorazione, in modo che eventuali difetti possano essere subito corretti.

A sweater knitted in this way has no seams and has the advantage that it can be tried during the realisation, so that any problems could be corrected immediately.
